Leadership Johns Creek’s “Team Transformers” is pleased to announce the launch of Family Life University, the parent education program of The Hub Family Resource Center!
Team Transformers has worked to secure dates, locations, topics, and a speaker for this launch, which will serve as the pilot program for an ongoing menu of workshops and seminars relevant to today’s parents facilitated by the Hub throughout Johns Creek and North Fulton.
Family Life University is in direct response to a sentiment expressed by school administrators over the past years – the need for parent education, to empowered them in helping their kids navigate our ever complex and media-driven society.
Because of the often devastating effect that social media has on today’s children, Team Transformers chose “They Are Doing What On Their Phones???” as their topic. This is an interactive presentation on Digital Citizenship and Cyber Safety presented by Malenka Warner, certified presenter of the GBI Cyber Safety Initiative. It will help parents instill values and safety consciousness in their children for the use of social media, and inform parents of the latest apps our kids are using.
